Fall is my favorite time of the year for many reasons. But if I had to choose one it's the fashion for me. Fall allows me to cover up those summer cookout pounds while remaining stylish. I called on one of my friends Ms. Carya Holmes, who is the ultimate fashionista to give us some tips and trends for the this 2021 Fall season. Checkout her interview below.
Who is your style/fashion influencer? There are so many stylist and stylish people who I look to for inspiration. I can find inspiration in most people to some degree. Some of my favorites are J.Bolin, June Ambrose, & Misa Hylton. What are your current fashion favs?
My current fashion favs include a mix of casual and dressy pieces. I love wearing a casual sweater or hoodie with a pair chandelier earrings and a sexy boot. The modern-day woman should always be ready and dressed for a night on the town and a business meeting. Adding a hat, designer scarf or a sexy boot will turn an ensemble up 5 notches. Heels, flats, or sneakers?
All of thee above! Your heel game must be on point of course. We’re women and a heel will forever be sexy. Got to have it! Don’t shy away from flats. You can always add a fancy flat to a pair of ripped jeans, t-shirt, designer scarf, and a fedora. Let’s talk about the sneaker game. I LOVE a great pair of J’s, Yezzys, Vans, or even a pair of designer gym shoes. Wear it all!! Top 5 fashionistas?

Stay away from a lot of patterns and you’ll always look chic. You can embody an “expensive” look when you keep it simple. Add a nice shoe and a bad bag and voila. Oh, and no outfit is complete without your favorite fragrance!! My current fav is Thé Noir 29 by Lelabo Any advice for those who want to step up their style game?
Don’t be afraid to color block this fall. Clash those patterns and make it your own! Throw those layers on girlfriend!

Up top: Grab a few fedoras and designer scarves
On your shoulder: Crossbody
In the middle: Pop colored tailored blazer/ Moto Jacket/ Cardigan
On the bottom: Flared jeans/ ripped mom jeans
On your feet: Over the knee boots
